artist qualified to create the work with your intentions in mind. A
common desire by philanthropists is to commission works with the intention
of donating them to foundations, public parks or historical monuments, and
Mrs. Bohannon is more than happy to fulfill these requests. Candice
is a strong believer in the power of art within the community and believes
that the generosity of the few can enrich the many.
To begin the commission process, contact the artist with an idea for the work
you have in mind; the medium (oil painting, bronze sculpture.. ), subject
and general size. Once Candice has a clear understanding of what the
client desires, she will work up a quote that reflects the size, intensity,
and medium of the artwork commissioned. All of her artwork is created
using time and labor intensive processes, and she requires that all works
meet her high standards before leaving the studio. Mrs Bohannon uses
high quality paints and often stretches her own canvases and builds her own
panels to achieve the refined surfaces she paints on. Sculptures are
created with the final installation place in mind, so that they are capable
of withstanding the elements of that environment.
The completion of your commission can range anywhere from two to six months
