Value and Refinement
The aesthetic principals and studio practices of Candice and Julio are rooted in their classical training. Both artists graduated from the prestigious Laguna College of Art and Design, one of only a few schools in the nation that offer a classical curriculum.
They each received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting, with a minor in Sculpture. Both pursued more than the prescribed courses in Art History and Aesthetics, as well as intensive courses in life-drawing/painting, life sculpture, color theory, and materials/techniques.
Candice and Julio quickly excelled to the top of their class, receiving numerous awards and scholarships. Both participate in annual group shows and sell out of their studio. Each have works in private collections in Los Angeles and Orange County, including purchases by the President of the Laguna College of Art and Design, and Hollywood actor Peter Gallagher.

Getting Started
To commission a work of art, choose the subject matter (”a painting of my wife with our mare in the pasture”) and a general size or price range, and contact the artists immediately! They will help you with all the details, take photos and/or do sketches on location, choose the most pleasing composition and complete the work in a timely fashion.
I believe you will find that we are artists of rare talent and dedication. Fine art is not an accident. It is a careful study by a disciplined mind: it is measured passion and steady progress; and finally - it is a legitimate accomplishment. Our art is more a tribute to hard work and discipline than to talent alone.”
- Julio Reyes
"The more time we spend studying these marvelous creatures, the deeper our understanding of them grows. Horses have always appealed to the more sophisticated aspects our nature - the need for passion, for aesthetic beauty and for grace. The horse embodies these qualities and only art can give them lasting form."
- Candice Bohannon
